
The County of Warner’s new noise by-law will affect how long construction noise will be allowed to continue during the day.
The County of Warner has drafted a noise by-law and a lot of people are a little confused about the implications of this new by-law should it become law.
At this point, county council has only given the by-law first reading – that occurred on October 20, 2009. However, since then, the Lethbridge Motorcycle Club met with county councillors and suggested some changes to the parts of the by-law that directly affected the Temple Hill Motorcycle Park, which is located just north of Raymond.
Subsequently, the county reissued another draft of the by-law with a few changes, most of which have to do with the operating hours of the Motorcycle Park or any “public or private recreational areas and facilities.” (See Public will get input on proposed by-law, December 3, 2009.)
However, for those of you who have not had a chance to look at the proposed noise by-law, here are some of the highlights.
