2019 is gone, but not forgotten. And 2020 is new, hopefully improved and ready and waiting.
This year can be better and is ripe for the picking. A New Year is a clean slate. A time to make resolutions for a better you, a chance to right wrongs or an annual opportunity to recharge, refresh, renew and possibly revisit good things from years past. Welcome to 2020. It’s going to be a good one, if you want it to be.
Not only is it a New Year, it is also a new decade. How about that? Another 10 years to meet, greet and become friendly with. Wow. One could use “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens to kick start a New Year too. Take a look back at the year that was, like being visited by three ghosts. Today is the present (which is a gift) and look forward to the next 10 years of your life. Don’t be a Scrooge in 2020, be a person of happiness, prosperity and hope and don’t be afraid to put a little love in your heart or perhaps give a little bit of yourself.
2020 seems to be like something out of a sci-fi novel or other media creation – when 2020 was a many number of years in the future. Now, we’re here. Wow, again. Though we now have some of the technology dreamed of in stories of the past set in today’s day and age – we still have a long way to go for other pipe dreams created in a storyteller’s mind. But, there’s no time like the present.
For the next over 300 days, create the life you want and need. Do you remember when Prince sang about partying like it was 1999? The change of the decade to 2000, had many on edge with Y2K. But, 2020, isn’t a time period to fear. It is a time period to dance, take life by the horns and be the best you, you can be.
Good luck in 2020 and may the New Year and new decade be the greatest gift of all! Happy New Year from Westwind Weekly News.
