Stirling Pool to remain closed

As previously announced on May 7, the Stirling Pool will remain closed for the season.

“Current public health requirements for physical distancing and capacity limits make the pool far too difficult to operate,” said Mayor Trevor Lewington in his June Mayor’s Message. “The campground, Reunion Centre and Community Centre will all re-open and begin taking bookings in the coming weeks.”

Lewington went on to remind users that strict health restrictions will remain in place at these facilities when in use.

Village council summer meeting schedule

Village of Stirling council will hold two meetings over the summer, on July 22 at 7 p.m., and August 12 at 7 p.m.

Meetings are held at the Stirling Community Centre/Lions Hall in the council chambers. The village’s regular meeting schedule will resume in September.

Stirling Library

The Stirling Library Board has met and is working on a phased approach to gradually re-open the facility in its expanded, new location.
