Raymond town council learned Tuesday night there is a slight increase in abuse related incidents over the past quarter in the community.
Sgt. Kelly McCoy delivered the news as part of the RCMP’s quarterly report to town council. McCoy went on to say the increase was caused mainly by domestic abuse incidents.

Above average temperatures, creating tinder dry conditions have led to a fire ban for both Cardston County and the County of Warner.
Cardston County issued the new fire ban last Wednesday, Feb. 1 and Warner’s county council confirmed its new fire ban earlier this week at its Tuesday council meeting. This is the second fire ban for the region in the first six weeks of 2012.

It took until mid-month but the Raymond Hospital finally has its first baby of 2012. Helena and Abraham Peters welcomed new son Jacob Penner Peters last Wednesday, Jan. 18.
