U11:

Two games were slated for the Raymond Knights last weekend, where they’d face off against both Foothills and Lethbridge.

In game one the Knights welcomed Foothills to their house, and in the end Raymond would prove to be a formidable foe. Raymond kept Foothills off the scoreboard in the first period, and Jaxton Rodeback, Lane Smith and Dax Hill all found the back of the net once with Rodeback picking up a pair of assists.

The second saw much of the same, Hill chalking a single on the scoreboard while Rodeback picked up two, one being assisted by Smith. The third period saw some life from Foothills where they fought back with a single goal, but Rodeback was on fire; slapping up three unassisted goals alongside Jack Patrick Salmon who sniped it past the goalie once leading the Knights to a 10-1 victory. Kalani Purcell was in net and faced 24 shots, making 23 saves.

Raymond’s second game against Lethbridge was more of a nail-biter.

In the first period, Lethbridge scored quick in their own house, but Smith and Rodeback were able to answer back quickly with single goals of their own to tie the game. Smith, Rodeback and Casey Vandenhoek all found assists. The second period showcased much the same, with Lethbridge scoring a pair while Rodeback and Salmon found the back of the net again to tie it up. Smith, Hill and Max Walburger assisted.

In the third, Rodeback tied the bow on their win, scoring the only goal in the final minutes – assisted by Smith and Ronald James Moline to tie the bow on their 5-4 win. Purcell in net faced 36 shots and made 32 saves.

U13:

A single game was on tap for the U13 Knights against Pincher Creek.

Raymond took control of the scoring in the first period, Easton Fraser found the back of the net twice while Cohen Brady Michel and Ryland Span potted singles. Michel and Fraser both found assists.

In the second, Pincher Creek fought back by scoring another three, and Fraser answered back with a single goal. The third period was a flurry of action between the two teams, seeing Michel throw up three goals on the board assisted by Brixton Crow Chief, Fraser and Hayes Hill; skating them to a 8-11 loss. Peyton Rowley was in net, facing 31 shots and making 20 saves.
