Alberta NDP established for Cardston-Siksika

Posted on November 25, 2021 by admin

I am pleased to share with you the news the Alberta New Democrats have established a Constituency Association in the Cardston-Siksika riding. We have an active executive, who are reaching out to contact supporters in order to prepare for the next election.
Our primary focus in talking with residents of the constituency is to determine the issues that are top of mind for residents of the Cardston-Siksika riding.
Many of our constituents are farmers, so we have heard a great deal about the need for support during the ongoing drought and also for necessary improvements to the Business Risk Programs.
Mothers and fathers as well as teachers in the riding are vocal about the faults of the proposed new curriculum.
People generally are very aware of the importance of water quality and availability for irrigation, household use, and industrial use. They have told us of their concerns about the potential mines in the eastern slopes.
Ratepayers in all parts of the riding are alarmed with changes in funding for municipalities, and the potential service reduction or increases in property tax
Health care issues have been mentioned often, including the disruptions to ambulance service in the riding, the loss of rural doctors and the reduction of support for the disadvantaged.
Concern about these issues have been expressed by many people in this riding.
Alberta New Democrats believe there are better ways to help Albertans build for the future. We have developed policies that address the concerns of Albertans, and we invite you to help us move them forward.
We invite you to visit our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/CardstonSiksikaNDP to find out more about us, and to see what the ANDP is doing to fight for a better future for you.
