Two Knight teams return to the ice after Christmas break

This weekend saw the return of two Raymond Knight teams as the Central Alberta Hockey League season rolls into 2022.
U11
The U11 Knights are ready for the second half of the season and they got 2022 started this past weekend with two games.
On Friday, the team saw Picture Butte come to town, which resulted in a 3-2 win for the home team. Jaxton Rodeback, Lane Smith, and Jack Patrick Salmon had the goals for Raymond while Dax Hill and Ronald James Moline had assists. Drew Tame made 24 of 26 saves in the Knights win.
Sunday saw the team travel to Coaldale for a morning matchup against the Cobras. After back and forth scoring, the game would end in a 5-5 tie. Rodeback and Hill had two goals and an assist apiece, and Trigger Heggie had a goal. Kalani Purcell got the start between the pipes and made 12 stops.
This coming weekend sees a rematch against Coaldale in Raymond on Friday at 5:30 p.m. The team then sees Bow Island/Foremost make their way to Raymond for a 4:15 p.m. game on Saturday.
U13
A single game was on the U13 Knight’s schedule this past weekend as they hosted the Magrath Chiefs on Saturday. In a close game, the Chiefs would edge out the Knights 6-5. Raymond saw two goals from Bronx Hill and Easton Fraser, while Tavares Chief Moon had a single. Hayes Hill, Lilly Rodeback, Nixon Roe, and Ryder Harrison chipped in with an assist each. Nate Nelson was in net for Raymond and made 28 saves.
The U13s return this weekend with another single game as they welcome in Vulcan on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
U18
The U18 Knights return to the ice this coming weekend as they host the Taber Oil Kings on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
