U11 Tier 3:
Playing on home ice at the Raymond arena on Oct. 22, the U11 Knights faced off against Taber’s Oil Kings.
Starting early in the first, a goal was scored 16 seconds into the game by Jack Patrick Salmon, with another following soon after by Dax Hill. Taber was able to answer back with a single goal but the Knights answered right back with two back-to-back goals from Hill and Jaxton Rodeback.
The second saw most of the same, with the Knights absolutely dominating the scoreboard with three goals from Rodeback, a goal from Cooper Rodeback, and two more singles from Hill and Salmon. Taber potted one in answer. Going into the third the Knights never let off the gas pedal, securing their lead with another 11 goals. Four came from Lane Smith, three from Hill, two from J. Rodeback and one from C. Rodeback to chalk up a 21-3 finish.
The following day saw the Knights hit the road to take on Nanton in a much lower-scoring game.
The Knights opened the first period with a pair of goals by J. Rodeback and Smith. The second began much the same, with J. Rodeback and Houston Hill both putting up a goal of their own, with only one in answer from Nanton. Another pair ended off the third period, with J. Rodeback chalking both goals up with Nanton answering back with one of their own to end the game 6-2 for the Knights.
U13 Tier 4:
The U13 Knights welcomed Vulcan to Raymond Oct. 21 for an extremely close game.
The Knights opened the gap early, putting up two goals in the first period while completely shutting Vulcan out. Both goals were scored by Hayes Hill. The second period saw Hill score another, when Vulcan answered back with two of their own to end the period.
Vulcan would start the scoring in the third period, but Raymond answered back when Easton Fraser and Brixton Crow Chief both put up a goal to end the game 5-4 for the Knights.
The U13 Knights also played host to an away team Oct. 22 when they welcomed Foothills.
The first period was all Raymond, with Brixton Crow Chief, Drayden Shot Both Sides and Easton Fraser all putting up singles. The second was completely even, with both teams putting up four goals. Fraser chalked up another three to his record and Ryland Span put up a single. The third period was much the same, with Raymond pulling ahead. Foothills began with two early goals when Span and Kaiden Kado evened the field. Hayes Hill would put up two goals with Crow Chief and Nixon Roe scoring one a piece to end the game 13-8 for the Knights.
