U11:
The U11 Raymond Knights chalked up another pair of wins this past weekend after facing off against Cochrane and Chestermere.
For their first game, they welcomed Cochrane to the Raymond Arena on Nov. 26. The first period saw Raymond dominate the scoreboard, leading the game by three with goals by Trigger Heggie, Cooper Rodeback and Jaxton Rodeback. The second period saw some life out of Cochrane, where they were able to score one goal, but Raymond answered back with a double from Lane Smith, and singles by J. Rodeback and Dax Hill.
In the third, Cochrane and Raymond tied for goals, with J. Rodeback putting up another two and Smith potting a single, leading the Knights to a 4-10 win.
The U11 Knights game against Chestermere on Nov. 27 was a little closer. The Knights travelled to their arena for the game, and Chestermere opened the scoring early but Smith and Hill both put up a single goal to lead scoring in the first period.
In the second the two teams went even for scoring, with J. Rodeback, Smith and Heggie all potting singles. The third was all Knights on the scoreboard, with Hill and J. Rodeback both chalking up one.
U13:
The week started off tough for the U13 Knights, facing off against the Coaldale Copperheads on Nov. 26.
Raymond didn’t put any goals up on the board in the first period, yet in the second Hayes Hill struck the back of the net early on to kickstart their scoring. In the third, the Knight’s scored some more quick goals, Hill putting up another two and Nixon Roe with one to tie the game. Unfortunately Coaldale was able to find the back of the net once more, and the Knights skated away with a 5-4 loss at their home arena.
They faced another tough opponent on Nov. 27 in the form of Fort Macleod.
Similar to their first game, Raymond wasn’t able to throw up any points in the first period, and in the second Easter Fraser, Cohen Brady Michel and Hayes Hill all scored once to bring them back into the game. The third saw a single goal from Michel, and the Knights skated to a 4-15 finish.
