Perrett Park re-opened on June 1

Raymond Town Council has announced that Perrett Park opened to the public on June 1. Signs will be posted at the sites to warn visitors that they must follow public health guidelines outlined by the province, including maintaining two metres of physical distance from others, gathering in groups of 50 or fewer, and only sharing common equipment with members of the same family or cohort.

Bookings are on a first come, first serve basis. Payment can be made at the town office, online through your bank or in the drop box on site.
Washroom facilities will be closed and the Town will not be sanitizing picnic tables or any other amenity, and visitors are asked to take extra pre-cautions and wash your hands regularly.

“If social distancing and other provincial guidelines are not being adhered to by our guests or park users, a capacity limit may be posted at the park and it may be temporarily closed again to the public,” reads a statement on the town’s website.

New Raymond sani-dump operational near Corner Lake

The Town of Raymond has announced the soft opening of a new RV Sewer Dump just in time to accommodate residents and guests as provincial restrictions are being lifted on June 1.

The new facility is located at 320E 400S, at the corner of 350E and 400S, just west of Corner Lake. The new location can accommodate two RV’s at the same time. One lane will enter the facility from the west and the other lane will enter from the east. Non-potable water is available to rinse your RV disposal equipment (do not drink this water or use it to fill your storage tanks).

Finish landscaping and some concrete work still needs to be completed, and pavement will be laid in September or October to allow for better compaction of the laneways. There may be periods where the site is closed to the public to accommodate this additional work.
